Standard Attainment Tests (SATs)

This guide has been written and produced by the Hamilton Primary School to provide parents with some basic information about the Standard Assessment Tests (SATs)  that are taken at the end of Key Stages 1 and 2.

The Key Stages  

Between the ages of 5 and 16 there are four Key Stages. There are exams at the end of each of these stages at ages 7, 11, 14 and 16).  

By law, every State school in England must take part in the SATs.
